A WORD FROM THE VP FOR MEMBERSHIP By Carol Williams, kit64ten@yahoo.com Hi, my name is Carol Williams, and I'm the new VP for Membership for Chapter 1072. I've
just retired, on August 31, 2010, and I'm looking forward to this new chapter of my life. I moved back to Denver from Indianapolis,
IN where I retired from the DFAS Civilian Payroll Office. I worked in Denver for 14 years on Lowry at Building 444, until
the BRAC Commission decided to combine the payroll offices to two locations. My choice of where to retire was hands down for
Denver, so here I am. As I begin this journey, I will keep you informed on how our Chapter is doing. At
this time, I'm working on updating our Chapter list of members, as of January 17, 2011, the M-114 shows that we have 254 members,
in 2010 we had 284, which is a drop 30 members last year. I'm looking forward to bringing our member numbers
back up. If anyone has some suggestions and/or ideas on how to bring membership back up, feel free to email me at kit64ten@yahoo.com, with your ideas. I have names of perspective recruits and will be sending out information for our Chapter. See all of you at our next meeting, February 7, 2011, at the Country Buffet, on Sable & Mississippi in Aurora.
